How can we best handle  dirty carpeted mats?

One way is to actually hose them off thoroughly. Treat stains first that would normally not come out with a diluted solution of Enviro-Clean Degreaser and a stiff nylon brush.
Then spray a diluted solution of Enviro-Clean Degreaser and brush in all different directions with a stiff nylon brush. Hose off and either extract excess water or use a shop vac. Hang mats so the excess moisture can drip dry. Keep in mind, to clean bottom first and make sure that the floor is clean before working on the mats
.

Carpet Stains

Try spot powder first, Eliminator, Natural Force or Foaming Carpet Cleaner and Deodorizer . And as a last resort, try a solvent.
Start from outside stained area and work inwards so the stain does not spread. If product is sprayed on stain, it can spread causing a real dilemma.

How do we clean leather seats?

After thorough vacuuming, wipe down seats with a damp towel. Spray a diluted solution of P&S Leather Cleaner and Condition section by section. If the leather is smooth, the only item necessary to wipe off cleaner would be a soft absorbent towel. If the leather is grainy, use a flat iron brush, brushing in all different directions and then towel dry.

Where Do Swirl Marks Come From and How can I tell If I have removed them?

Swirls are created when using a spin/rotary polisher to remove sanding marks, oxidation, paint defects or scratches from the paint. The swirls are put into the paint by abrasive particles in compounds and/or the surface of the buffing pad.
The amount of swirls left behind after compounding is based upon the size and hardness of the abrasive particle, the type of buffing pad and the ability of the detailer.
The most efficient way to tell if all of the swirls are gone is to limit the amount you produce. First, compound if only necessary. Products such as Smart Compound, Smart Polish and Ultra Coat Compound can buff out scratches and partial imperfections without using an aggressive heavy duty compound.
If you have to use a heavy duty compound, try buffing with a foam pad first, and a conventional pad can be used as a last resort.
When compounding, make sure you buff long enough to complete the process. Many times, people rush and don't buff for long enough. Clearcut II or Heavy Duty Smart Compound, for example, will actually polish out their own swirls. The above rules apply to the polishing process as well.

What can we do to remove tar and tree sap?

These items need to be removed before any Perfect Putty work is done. Tar can be removed with P&S' Remove All. Apply to towel, and dab tar to start breaking it down and then gently rub in different directions to remove. We do not recommend spraying the surface with a solvent that can cause damage and/or staining.
Many types of tree sap can be removed with water. If it is not soluble in water, sap can be removed in the same procedure as tar removal with P & S Sap Remover or Alcohol. After these items are removed, you can then proceed to Perfect Putty the vehicle.

How do I get rid of water spots on paint? And is it a spot?

A water spot is a mineral deposit that is left behind on the surface of the paint after the water has evaporated. A spot sits on top of the surface of the paint.
A water stain is an actual stain that has penetrated into the paint. Keep in mind that some water stains could be so severe that they actually need to be wet sanded for removal.
Whatever item you need to tackle, always start with the least aggressive method.
To remove water spots on paint, first use Perfect Putty which can remove mineral deposit residue.
To remove water stains, try the least aggressive method first, which could be Ultra Coat Compound with a cutting foam pad @ 1200 to 1500 rpm. If needed, you could always switch to a P&S 200y synthetic polishing pad.

Water Spots on Windows

If there are water spots on windows, remove them before any polishing work so that paste residue does not affect paint finish.
Then try Perfect Putty first. If that doesn't take care of it, use P&S Glass and Chrome Cleaner.
Spray glass cleaner in tub. Use a glass towel and make a paste. Apply to window in different directions - then wipe off.
If product dries rapidly and hazes, just spray glass cleaner on window and wipe off, so dust residue does not settle on vehicle
.

How do we clean wheels?

Make sure you are familiar with your wheel cleaner and/or degreaser. It is extremely easy to damage particular finishes.
Rinse first or depending upon the chemical, it can be sprayed on a dry surface. Some wheel cleaners can be sprayed on a dry surface. They work by having a chemical reaction with the brake dust.
Make sure wheel is cool. Never spray a wheel cleaner on a hot wheel as it can cause a chemical reaction and permanently stain the wheel.
Severely dirty wheels with plastic center caps should be removed first to avoid possible damage.
Start spraying wheel cleaner from the bottom up to avoid streak runs and if for some reason you have a negative chemical reaction, it will be a little easier to take care of. Wheel faces should be cleaned with a wash mitt instead of a brush. If everyone continued to wash the wheels with brushes, they would get scratched.
A parts solvent brush can be used around lug nuts and a toothbrush in the nooks and crannies. After all the wheels have been done, move the vehicle forward to expose the upper portion of the wheel that would have not been cleaned properly during the initial wheel cleaning process. Proceed to clean the rest of the wheel.
Remember, the wheels get an abundance of abuse-many contaminants especially heat.
Wheels then need to be polished and waxed. We have some great 6 inch conventional and foam pads to machine polish wheels. Clearcoat wheels polish very nicely with Ultra Coat Polish.
